Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - Private Screening

The sequel to Marvel’s 'Black Panther', was highly anticipated in Black/African communities all over the world. Noting this and understanding that there would be demand for a culturally safe to watch the film in, the hosts of the podcast took it upon themselves to make this a reality.

Held in Event Cinemas' Parramatta Westfield branch, the advanced screening of 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' was carefully and intentionally curated to ensure that moviegoers would be provided with a communal atmosphere that would enhance the overall experience of watching the film.

To set the tone, local musical artist Agum, performed an acoustic set before the viewing of the movie began, and popcorn and a drink were complimentary for all ticket purchasers.

The event’s primary goal of communal ambience and jollity was most definitely achieved: with ad hoc commentary from the audience as the movie played as well as long conversations at the venue well after it was over
